I recently stayed at the Emaar Grand Hotel in Mecca, booking a room advertised for five people. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, especially larger groups. The room itself was incredibly tight for five beds. We were practically on top of each other, and there was barely any space to move around or store our belongings comfortably. This lack of space made our stay very uncomfortable and frankly, quite stressful. Beyond the cramped quarters, the room service was also severely lacking. On multiple occasions, we tried to contact room service, but the phone simply went unanswered. This made it impossible to request basic necessities or address any issues we had. Considering the high price we paid for this hotel, the level of service and the size of the room were completely unacceptable. It felt like we were significantly overcharged for a very poor experience. If you are planning a trip to Mecca and require accommodation for more than a couple of people, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. The Emaar Grand Hotel's cramped rooms and unreliable service are not worth the money or the frustration. Save yourself the disappointment and book a different hotel. Read less

The only nice thing about the hotel is its interior. The hotel facilities were rubbish. The shower cubicle wouldn’t close properly and the water would wet the whole floor in the bathroom. The hair dryer in the bathroom has such low power that it will take you an hour to dry your long hair with it. The bathroom plumbing was horrific, whenever you run water you can smell of the gutter. The room ventilation system seems like it hasn’t been cleaned in years and would definitely make you sick! The place just looks fancy from the interior used but has little to no facilities available. I am currently staying here and as I am writing this review i’m waiting for maintenance to come because my room power keeps stopping. We have only been here for two days tonight being the third and i am just honestly so ready to go home, which is upsetting. 1) the rooms are decent sized, as far as i know. our room was for three people so there were three beds. Very standard. However, the windows are broken and you can hear EVERYTHING outside. 2) the toilet smells and is always 24/7 hot. It’s very tight and cramped. and once again like every other review we were only given two towels despite being three people. Normally hotels i’ve been to you get at least two towels per person the second one being a smaller towel??! 3) THE LIFTS. If you want clarity and a peace of mind please don’t even consider booking here! There are so many lifts but there are WAYY MORE people. You can wait for the lift for almost 1 HOUR 4) Lastly the distance. It’s not worth your money it’s a long walk and isn’t “5 minutes”! All in all i definitely will not be staying here the only bonus points is the staff excluding reception! Read less

Hi we’re would you like me to start unfortunately the room service staff are no we’re to be found. & when you find them it’s a game of hide & seek. Then when you go complain to manager they say no speak English & say ok by. We asked for are room to be cleaned & was told that we only change one bed as we have no bedding. How can that be for a hotel this big.3 years ago this hotel was brilliant & after Covid19 it’s gone down hill. Now let’s start food. Oh my days Imodium was very helpful as the buffet was cold & the food unfortunately was below standard. The banana 🍌 was rock sold & not edible. I will not stay in this hotel ever again. The owners need to fix up the staff as the work force do t care about the customers. Who pay they wages. & the one time I asked them to clean the toilet they did not replace the loo paper the tissue paper & left the floor wet. Bathrooms in room smells, have to asked them several time to clean it, they take message but don't send anyone to clean. Breakfast is not great too for the amount they charge, Quality of food and choice is limited. Had issue with Internet as their WiFi don't work in rooms, called them several times about WiFi, toilet cleaning, towels and toilet rolls but nothing happened, very disappointed. Read less

But the dining area/canteen is clean. Location of the hotel is abit far from the Haram but it is located at the main road which make the drop of to the hotel super easy.
