Completely Unacceptable Service – Never Again! We traveled with our entire family and had clearly requested rooms next to each other when we made the booking. This request was confirmed by the hotel in advance. However, upon arrival, we were given rooms that were far apart, without any explanation or apology. When we addressed this issue at the reception, we were met by a receptionist named Fatima – and her behavior was absolutely outrageous. She was extremely rude, raised her voice, threw our room keys at us, and told us to leave. Such disrespectful, aggressive, and unprofessional conduct is completely unacceptable in any service environment, let alone a hotel. We then escalated the matter to the manager, who was just as unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of taking responsibility, he defended the receptionist’s behavior and offered no support whatsoever. After much pressure, we were finally given the rooms we had originally been promised. However, from that point on, the staff continued to treat us with hostility. When we called to request basic necessities like toilet paper or bottled water, we were told we “had no right” to ask for anything – simply because we had dared to complain. Our clear impression: This hotel only treats certain guests – especially Arab visitors – with respect. Guests from the EU or Asia are treated as second-class. My advice: Avoid this hotel at all costs. There are many other places where professionalism, fairness, and basic human decency are still valued. Read less

We stayed at Al Shohada Hotel in Makkah, and all praise is due to Allah — we were surrounded by comfort provided by all the staff, whether at reception, in the restaurant, or in room service. What truly made me happy, however, was seeing the hotel management present everywhere — from the reception hall to the restaurants — ensuring food quality and outstanding service, walking through the corridors to inspect cleanliness and how the rooms were being cleaned, and reviewing even the smallest details to guarantee the comfort of the guests. This was my first encounter with Mr. Mohamed Taha, who was personally checking the readiness of the rooms. When I asked one of the staff members about him, I was told he is the General Manager of the hotel — this increased my respect and admiration for the place I was staying in. For this reason, I wanted to thank all the hotel staff, and especially the management who trained their employees in the right way, so they treat the guests as if they were part of their own family. Thank you Mr. Mohamed Taha and Mr. Khaled Al Shanbari. I also won’t forget to thank the restaurant management — Mr. Nasser Abu Deeb, Mr. Ahmad Salama, Chef Mohsen, Chef Hatem, and Chef Adel. The hotel mosque doesn’t follow the haram prayers which made us sad a little. The front desk was also very helpful when my son was unwell. The breakfast could do with more of a variety. Some days the kids didn't eat as the pancakes are premade and taste rubbery. We stayed at Saja Al Madinah in February 2025 for a week, and it truly ranks among the best hotels we’ve experienced in Madinah. From our room, we had a beautiful view of Mount Uhud and the main roads of the city. One of the most convenient features was the side exit, which opened directly into the grand street leading straight to Masjid of RasoolAllah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Aalihi wa Sallam). It took barely 1–2 minutes to reach the ladies’ section of the mosque, an incredible blessing. Alhamdulillah. The hotel service was generally good, though we occasionally had to remind the housekeeping staff more than once for room cleaning. Still, considering it’s one of the older and more established hotels in the area, the overall comfort and experience made up for it. One thing I wouldn’t recommend, however, is including their breakfast in your package. The buffet doesn’t quite justify the price, you can easily find better, more affordable options at nearby food spots. Another plus was the availability of useful amenities right next door including laundry shops and a pharmacy. Bin Dawood and Taiba Center are just across the street, making shopping and errands incredibly convenient. If you’re able to spend a little more, I would highly recommend this hotel. The proximity to the mosque alone is worth every riyal. Would definitely stay here again. Read less

You can come back between the prayers and take a quick shower or nap if you need it. The rooms are very clean and the hotel constantly smells very pleasant. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I have to specifically mention about the morning shift of the restaurant and their amazing server Islam because they truly deserve to be mentioned and remembered.
