This was my first trip to do Umrah and I was accompanied by my elderly parents. Alhanouf was brilliant at check in recognising this and providing us with a room upgrade with a Haram view and complimentary breakfast. We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights the hotel is a great location for the Haram including having Kaaba views however there were a few things which can be improved. It is also worth knowing there are 2 lifts required to get to your room but the lifts are frequent but busy at times. 1. Our room had 4 beds was to solved in a day or so however no one came to remove the beds so we were very tight on space this was agreed at check in would be resolved 2. We had to ring housekeeping several times for them to bring towels to our room given room clean was not timely. 3. Even after requesting a room clean with the sign on the door no one would come so I would have to tell the housekeeping team I saw in other rooms to clean mine or call reception to get it cleaned sooner 4. I requested a staff member to send some zamzam to my room to which he agreed and it didn't come which is disappointing 5. The check in and check out process was not efficient as there was only 1 member on the front desk and therefore took a while which isn’t great 6. On check out we called 1 hour before we wanted to leave to ensure someone was there to bring our bags and no one came and also called again. In the end we had to go downstairs and only then someone came up with me 7. The breakfast process needs to be smoother by opening all 3 areas to make it easier for everyone the queues are very long and a lot of pushing and shoving which could be avoided. 8. The breakfast drinks are very limited and need to speak to the right people to request proper krak tea. The Moroccan supervisor was great I forgot his name and was very helpful to get us karak tea with milk. 9. The staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay, making me feel welcome and well taken care of. A special mention goes to Sazzad, the cleaner responsible for room 3220. He was incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive to detail. My room was always spotless and well-stocked, thanks to his hard work. This is a nice hotel very close to the Kaaba. A short walk of 3 min leads you to the entrance of the grand mosque. The hotel is in a big mall which opens into the courtyard leading to the grand mosque. Elevators that are common to the mall and the hotel are busy. The hotel has its own elevators that take you down to the haram which are less busy. The food is good. Fresh fruit choice is limited to only apples and oranges sometimes watermelon. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Mohamed took good care of me as I worked on my laptop during breakfast. Thanks Mohamed! Very disappointed with the hotel. Definitely not 5 star standard. I would rate this hotel overall 3 star. The room space is very tight. Furniture is very out dated and looks tacky and cluttered. On arrival, floor looked dirty, like it hadn't been hoovered in so many days. Bed sheets were stained and pillow had a big boggie on it 🤢. The next day, house keeping came to the room. We asked them to do the usual cleaning and to change the bed sheets. We also reported the blocked sink. They quickly unblocked the sink, gave us some water bottles and toilet rolls then sprayed air freshener in the room and left. We had to call them back, and asked them to change the covers. The cleaners were not happy about this. They showed so much attitude like they did not want to be doing their job even though we we were so nice to them and did not even complain about all the mess and dirt in our room. This is not the kind of service we expect from a 5 star hotel. Read less

Bathrooms were having such a disgusting smell. Only cigarette 🚬 smell was keep coming everywhere. There's no towel in the washroom. Upon asking the Housekeeping team working in the corridors they said, what to do it's supervisor mistake he didn't check the room. Check in process was so time taking even though there's no rush. Only 1 person was ahead of us but the staff was so "lazy" and was not paying attention. Check in staff didn't provide us with the room keys / card and asked the bell boy to drop us to the room. Bell boy opened the room with the master key and handed over the same to us - upon asking why master key, he smiled and went out of the room. At the time of Check-out, the lady at the reception was shocked to see the master key and asked me how come I've that key - I explained all this to her. I could not gave more than 2 stars because of the following: 1- room furniture's are old and aged. 2- toilets seems poorly maintained. 3- During breakfast, the served orange juice was expired. I informed the staff at the restaurant two times few minutes apart and kept watching and waiting for their action to remove the juice containers but they didn't. 4- shower cabin was too small. 5- the hotel strangely designed for small size short Asian guests. I am not that tall guy! I am 190 cm tall. The ceiling height is low i could touch the ceiling while walking in the hotel corridors.
