Very good choice for Hajj & Umrah trips as location of this hotel is close to Haram and even in future when third Saudi expansion finishes , this hotel will be on one of new entrances to Haram.
Very helpful & supportive staff from various departments.
Very good restaurants & food.
Very good rooms and housekeeping.
I would like to thank everyone of staff and especially Daloar Hosen from housekeeping as I interacted with him on daily basis for keeping our room clean & tidy.

We booked this hotel for me and family (12 of us). Its a 5min walk to the haraam. The service was excellent and the rooms were super clean, they would clean it every day or whenever you ask them to. They are professional and kind. Always holding the doors and greeting you. They even open lifts for you! I would recommend this hotel with my eyes closed. Thank you so much, I would definitely book again in the future in sha Allah ☺️

Outstanding Service at the Chocolate Lounge!!
I had a wonderful experience at the Chocolate Lounge in the Sheraton Makkah Jabal Al Kaaba Hotel, thanks to Abdul Majeed. His customer service was exceptional. He went above and beyond to help us arrange our transportation from Makkah to Marina, making everything seamless and stress-free.
The food and drinks were equally impressive! The tea and coffee were fantastic, and the croissants and pastries were a true delight.
If you’re in Makkah, don’t miss out on this gem! Highly recommended for both the service and the delicious treats!

I stayed here for 16 days and the service is beyond 5 star. Everything from the reception, to housekeeping, the team at the Lounge on floor 12 ( Nashwa, Amr and team) went over and beyond with outstanding service. I felt more than at home. A special thanks to Loujain and the duty manager I spoke to for accommodating my stay and doing everything they could to make it worth while. It is close to the haram( 5-10 min). I will definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back, Insha'Allah.

Here are some pros and cons of the Sheraton Makkah:

Cons:

Prices can be high
Some rooms can be noisy
Overall, the Sheraton Makkah is a great choice for travelers who are looking for a luxurious and convenient hotel in Mecca. The hotel is well-located, has spacious rooms with stunning views, and offers excellent service. However, it can be crowded during peak seasons and prices can be high.
Here are some tips for staying at the Sheraton Makkah:
Book your stay in advance: The hotel is very popular, so it is best to book your stay in advance, especially if you are traveling during peak seasons.
Request a room with a view: The rooms with views of the Grand Mosque are in high demand, so it is best to request one when you book your stay.
Be prepared for crowds: The hotel can be crowded during peak seasons, so be prepared for long lines at the restaurants and the spa.
Bring a water bottle: The hotel does not provide free water bottles, so it is best to bring your own.
Wear comfortable shoes: You will be doing a lot of walking around the hotel and the Grand Mosque, so it is best to wear comfortable shoes.
I hope this helps!

Everything was perfect and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived at the property, the attentive staff greeted me with warm, friendly smiles. Big thanks to all of them especially: Rageh Abdullah, Security Supervisor, Mehdi Al Hudhali and all the wonderful restaurant staff. The hotel's proximity to the Haram made its location really excellent for me. In addition, the presence of a bridge connecting the hotel to the new expansion of the campus increased the factor of convenience and ease of access.

Breakfast was great. Location was great. Nothing negative.
Due to construction, the bridge that leads directly to the masjid is closed. It would be unfair to fault the hotel for this, but the detour is a little lengthy and should be noted.

I will start with the hotel staff. They are the most welcoming I have ever experienced in my history of traveling. They are always keen to help, always smile and are always ready to step an extra mile. The location of the hotel is in a walking distance to the Haram. You need to make sure to leave a bit early because the area is super crowded. The breakfast is decent but I would love to see more healthy choices. The rooms are super clean and as expected from Sheraton.

Modern and comfortable hotel with plenty of elevators so you don't have to wait long even during busy periods. Breakfast was good. We had breakfast at the back up restaurant on 2 out of 3 days when the main one was full. Both were almost the same except filter coffee was a bit slow to be refilled. Special thanks to our 11th floor housekeeper Mr Saju who was kind and helpful. The connecting bridge was not operational. Walking back to the hotel requires negotiating a steep path at the end.

Good hotel. ~5 minute walk from haram. Good quality rooms.
The bad:
Less than ideal experience. As an ambassador, they gave me a good upgrade, but not before telling me 7 times about the sacrifices they had to make to make it happen
Water pressure in the bathroom shower was weak
Elevator system is really suboptimal, expect to wait a lot in peak times
They take ~60 minutes to respond to Marriott app messages
Finally, they couldn't properly assist in a simple task of helping me find a taxi to go to the airport.
Good overall but will try Marriott Jabal Omar next time

I took one star off because the fan in the bathroom doesn’t work! Another star off because the room was not prepared with bath towels as expected of hotels. The third star removed because the door handle is slightly broken which made it harder to enter with the provided card.
Other than that everything was good. It’s close enough to the mosque. We stayed at room 1304

Decent experience. Limited parking, if there is a rush then you will not get a permit until someone else leaves. Rooms were decent and clean enough. Good bathrooms with sufficient facilities like hairdryer and toiletries. I wish there were more plugpoints, one for each bed, but we managed. Reception and security were approachable and helpful. Housekeeping were also helpful for simple requests. Kettle was not working, so it was replaced. Wife found stains on the bed but we still managed to sleep. Overall decent experience.

The bed mattress were good and firm.
Service was absolutely disgraceful. We were told, since we didn't make booking online so we wouldn't get full service. Even to get toilet papers, tissues and towels etc we had to go and ask them to replenish. Soap was never refilled.
So much so, we stopped asking them and bought our own stuff from shops.
Location was good. 5min walk to Haram.
Will never book this hotel, not even online.

Our booking included a breakfast buffet, which was average, but Alhamdulillah, it was sufficient.
The reception appeared short-staffed during peak hours, and the team seemed a bit overworked.
However, we had the pleasure of dealing with Munar Al-Sharif, a lovely receptionist who was an absolute delight. She always greeted us with a warm smile and positive energy—7 stars for her service!

The hotel was good, they have parking , if you add breakfast then nice buffet, 3 to 4min walkin from Gate 329, only the thing I don't like is rooms and bathrooms and very tiny... I noticed that they did modification after building structure that they make partition and close the the door between 2 rooms just to increase rooms and guest capacity... Backside they have McDonald's and near by some fast food. So overall it's fine to stay near Haram.

Our stay was an absolute disaster from the moment we arrived. We endured a staggering two-hour wait for our rooms, which was excruciating with restless kids in tow. To make matters worse, the reception staff were consistently rude and unhelpful. As a family, we had booked three separate rooms, but instead, they crammed two families into one room while relegating our other family members to the smallest, most inadequate room they had available. The next day, after much hassle, we finally got the three rooms we had originally booked, but the experience had already soured our entire stay. The rooms were disgustingly dirty, covered in layers of dust. The bathrooms were a complete mess, and the foul smell emanating from them was unbearable. This hotel couldn't even dream of calling itself a 4-star establishment; it's honestly the worst experience I've ever had. The service was consistently appalling, and to top it all off, the entire place was disgustingly dirty. It was a truly awful experience that I would never wish on anyone.
Despite its misleading 4-star rating online, upon arrival, we were informed that it's actually a 1-star establishment! The information provided online is completely inaccurate, and it's clear that many other guests have been similarly misled and have complained about this bait-and-switch tactic.

Normally some tolerance is in order for hotels, but in this case, it is absolutely the worst possible experience possible.
To begin with, the room was disgusting. There was peeling paint, cutlery behind the beds and the bathroom was in an utter state - the mirror was taped to the wall.
Secondly, we checked in to find that there were no towels in the room, when we alerted the reception, they told us to wait 5 minutes - no response. We went again - same answer, wait 5 minutes. 3 hours later, after arguing with the receptionist, they gave us towels. After a long journey there, this was unacceptable.
Thirdly, the bathroom drain was blocked, which meant we couldn't take a shower even if we liked. The reception said that they didn't have a plumber present to fix it, and told us to wait our turn for room service the next day - which would be after 10.
The reception staff barely spoke English and found our problems very amusing, before running to the service floor in the lift. There is no accountability whatsoever, and this level of service is disgusting. The Ministry of Tourism should SHUT DOWN this establishment until they can maintain bare minimums of standards.
What's even worse is, we weren't the only ones with issues. When we came to the reception, the receptionist simply noted our room number on a list of 5/6 other rooms, and there were various other people queuing to complain.
The hotel will probably just respond with a generic response like "send a email to XYZ" or will implement improvements in the future. This is totally unacceptable.

I can’t even begin to describe how terrible this hotel is. I arrived at this hotel in the evening after a long bus ride and as soon as we checked into our rooms, there were a bunch of problems, the walls were absolutely disgusting as they were random marks all over them, also, the smell of the room was absolutely horrible and I was mortified by the hygiene within my room as everything including the floor was dirty. The bathroom was below the basic standards as the bathtub was blocked and water would not go through and there was no towels available apparently also, the curtains of the shower appeared to have blood stains on them as well as cause tons of water to leak out and flood the bathroom. We ended up complaining to the receptionist however he completely ignored us and proceeded to laugh in our face. One of the cleaners proceeded to insult one of my family members which really infuriated me. I highly recommend that the ministry of Hajj and Umrah investigate this hotel immediately as they are unable to provide the most basic care to their clients as well as charge them for what they have done

All the pillow cases either have hair or blood on them. The bedsheets are dirty. There's a kettle in the room but no tea/coffee condiments as you have to book this separately (never heard of this in any place I have stayed previously). Rooms will only be cleaned if you personally ask someone. Smoking in the hallways despite being a no smoking area yet no one says anything to the guests. The rooms and all the facilities in the room just look disgusting. Aside from the fact that the hotel is less than 5 minutes from the Mosque, I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Located near masjid al nabawi, but the service is really bad. I’m here during ramadan, and I had to keep asking for towels and toilet roll because they didn’t have any in my room when I checked in. Reception kept promising to send towels after 10-20 minutes, but everytime I asked they said no sorry. Finally a cleaner went and got it for me, thank you very much! Two starts because of the location, but this hotel should only be your last resort in Madinah.

AVOID THIS HOTEL AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. Do not ruin your experience in Madinah by booking yourself in here. If any travel agent mentions the name of this hotel tell them to change the hotel there are hundreds in this area! Firstly the damp smell is horrendous. The bathroom is covered in mould I had to hold it in till late evening when I couldn’t hold it in anymore. The sink, floor, tub is covered in mould, the wooden door is so damp it smells rotten. The bed had a stain on which was horrific. The windows let cold air through which I feel like it played a part in my husband falling ill even more. We had to shove the gap with duvets and cloth to stop the cold air coming through (as the time we were in Madinah it was freezing/raining/thundering). My parents room had a leak and instead of shifting them to another room firstly they said ‘these things happen’ and when my mum put her foot down they eventually got someone to have a look at it. Turns out the room needed a new boiler which they spent a few hours fixing while my mum sat in the corner of the room. Breakfast is mediocre however for some odd reason they won’t let us have breakfast here now and are asking us to go to the next door hotel to have our breakfast. The next door hotel only serve cold meat, bread tea hardly anything else that’s actually edible. Luckily McDonald’s is behind the hotel so we had them to rely on. We were finally shifted to another room which was slightly better however the cold atmosphere around the staff is making us feel very uncomfortable. Other then some of the Bengali staff who are friendly and greet you when they see you, the reception staff are shockingly rude. You would think they’ve given us free shelter in their hotel when infact we paid ALOT of money for such a rubbish hotel. Good luck if there’s a group of you because they only give you one key to share between you all. Do not fall for the pictures on google, I wish I had took pictures but I haven’t. Avoid avoid avoid.

Skip some of the ziyaarah’s, the brother was so flexible and accommodating…. Always at hand if ever needed him for anything! Before we left i found his vids on the little things like plugs amd sockets and money exchange tips really handy! These are details that are small yet significant so he covered it all for us just so that we dont forget! Once there, he provided us with trusted places to shop, exchange money etc and some other visits we did too that were humbling!! You cannot get this when travelling alone! Brother went out of his way to make the stay as comfrtble as possible not just for adults but the kids too! And the trolley for the luggage at the end of to the trip was icing on the cake! Jzk for an unforgettable experience… i am already planning my next trip! ❤️

This was my first time travelling to Al Aqsa and with Zaarvel, I have been to many destinations and this was by far one of the best trips. From the very beginning brother Numayar looked after us and stayed with us until we got through the checkpoints at Tel Aviv. We were understandably very nervous but we soon realised we really had nothing to worry about. Everything was organsied perfectly from the transport to hotel to the very educational tour guide. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and have already recommended to others. We would definitely travel with Zaarvel again.

Zaarvel Team had made this a memorable experience for me and my family.
In our group there were between 50/55 people from London, Leicester, Manchester, Dubai, etc.
Before we travel, Zaarvel make it clear what is needed and essentials for trip. We have video conference for any questions that you may have, very in depth.
This is my 2nd time at Al Aqsa and can't get enough. What amazing trip, very well organised and packed everyday with things to do. Day 1, walking around Al Aqsa Compound and learning the history by experienced tour guild. Day 2 visiting locals or doing walking tour outside the compound. Day 3 coach trip from 8am to 9pm, visiting famous Ibrahim Mosjid and Musa Mosjid, Banksy Museum, Jericho, Mount of Olives, etc. Day 4 Jummah and shopping, Day 5 return. Action packed.
When visiting Al Aqsa alot of Sabr patience is needed. At airport any foreigner they will keep few hours and may question what your visit is about.
Insha'Allah I will be going again and again.

Visiting Al-Aqsa was honestly one of the most emotional and spiritual things I’ve ever experienced. From praying in the blessed compound to the amazing excursions organised by Zaarvel, every part of the trip reminded me how powerful and deep our history is as Muslims.
The itinerary was so well thought out — I loved how the guides mixed in historical facts with spiritual lessons, whether we were at the Mount of Olives, Masjid Umar, or visiting the tombs of the Prophets. Praying in those places was something else… it really hit the heart.
Alhamdulillah, my group was also amazing — supportive, kind, and filled with beautiful souls that made the journey even more special.
This trip wasn’t just sightseeing — it was healing. I left with a heart that honestly just wants to return again, inshaAllah.
May Allah let us all visit Masjid Al-Aqsa, protect its people, and keep our hearts connected to it. Ameen.

From the moment we landed to the moment we left, everything was organised with so much care and thought. The whole trip ran smoothly, the tour guides were brilliant, and you could tell they were genuinely passionate about sharing the truth and history of Palestine.
This trip really changed me. Before coming, I never took the boycott seriously. I’d hear about it now and then, but I would just brush it off thinking it doesn’t really matter. But after seeing the reality with my own eyes, even just the small day to day struggles the Palestinians go through, I realised how important it actually is. What we saw was only a tiny part of what they deal with every single day. It broke my heart and it opened my eyes. From now on, In Sha Allah, I will do my part and take the boycott seriously.
What Zaarvel offered was more than just a tour. It was a journey that touched the heart and soul. Every stop, every moment, felt like it had real purpose. It was clear that the team behind this trip put in a lot of effort and that they truly care about the cause.
I’m honestly so grateful I got the chance to be part of it. This wasn’t just about seeing places. It was about learning, reflecting and understanding the deeper truth. I would 100 percent recommend Zaarvel to anyone who wants a real, honest and powerful experience in Palestine. May Allah SWT reward the whole team for everything they’ve done.

Blessed to have had the opportunity to visit the Holy Land with Zaarvel! Amazing trip with a well organised tour operator who is experienced with this destination. Excellent communication and guidance pre and during the tour by Numayar who made the whole journey seamless. Zaarvel arranged excellent local guides from Jerusalem and their knowledge was outstanding providing great depth to the tours.
Everyone should try to visit Palestine if they have the opportunity and show solidarity and support to the people of Al Quds.
Zaarvel is highly recommended to anyone wishing to embark on this amazing cultural and spiritual journey!

I’ve been on group tours but going with Zaarvel was a cut above the rest for sure!
From the booking process to returning from the Al Aqsa trip, the service was undeniable.
They were swift in all responses and queries and put any worries to bed. The entire time we were treated like guests with all our needs catered to. Even if something was not on the itinerary but we were interested to go there or do something, it was arranged for the ones who wanted to go.
Zaarvel team knew everyone on the ground and are well connected on the other side so you feel completely at ease knowing you’re in safe hands. We were treated like guests, friends and family. Through their genuineness and sincerity, they created an unforgettable trip of a lifetime.
Thanks and best wishes for a successful future!
