One of the workers Shuaib, who works in the food service area was really nice, he made sure that we got anything we needed. Along side him was the breakfast manager Amjd, who is also kind and was helpful. The café on the ground floor is also a good place for food or for tea. I would highly recommend ordering the lamb chopps or the pizzas. The location is also wonderful , it's a 5 minute walking distance to masjid al haram. If you have confirmed your stay earlier they will treat you like goons. The worst side of the hotel is the location. You have to literally ride a 20 meter high road on the way back to hotel from haram. And trust me you would rather prefer walking 300 meters in the sun than this 100 meter steep road. After all of that we entered the room that was extremely dirty nuts on the carpet, dust on tables and tissues on the carpet. One of the toilets smelled so bad as if it wasn’t cleaned. Beds are not comfortable at all. No slippers in the room. No bath robe for shower. There is a Nespresso machine with no capsules; if you don’t want to add capsules remove the machine. The fridge was empty, 3 or 4 water bottles were in the room. When I book a Junior suite at a 5 star hotel, I would expect more!! Read less

While my initial experience was quite disappointing due to the condition of the room and a lack of timely response at the front desk, what followed in the later part of my stay turned things around in a meaningful way. After I posted a critical review on July 24, I was personally contacted on the evening of July 26 by Mr. Waleed Al-Harbi, Rooms Division Manager. His outreach was sincere, respectful, and focused on resolving the situation the right way. He acknowledged the feedback without defensiveness and explained that a full renovation of the hotel is scheduled in the coming months, which was reassuring to hear. To make up for the earlier experience, Mr. Waleed: Upgraded me to an Executive Suite for the final two nights Included breakfast for the remainder of my stay Granted a late checkout Provided his direct WhatsApp contact and business card, showing a clear commitment to guest care The upgraded room was significantly more comfortable, and the responsiveness I experienced from that point onward reflected a strong sense of hospitality and leadership. On our final day, I received a follow-up from the Front Desk Manager, Ms. Shaimaa, who warmly confirmed and approved my late checkout request for 6:00 PM. After we checked out, while I was arranging our ride, she came outside to personally see off my wife and daughters. She surprised us with a small, sweet parting gift — a gesture that truly delighted my family and left a lasting impression. It was thoughtful, gracious, and very much appreciated. While the property still has visible areas that need renovation and modernization, I want to sincerely acknowledge the efforts of both Mr. Waleed and Ms. Shaimaa. Their kindness, follow-through, and professionalism stood out and made us feel genuinely valued as guests. This review has been updated to reflect the full experience — from the initial challenges to the way management handled them with care and hospitality. Good location. Generally good cooperative staff. Good food. Front desk staff is not very well informed but they try to cooperative. Very small area for w and shower. My room on second floor was very convenient for breakfast access and exit fm the hotel. Sofas in the lobby need to be replaced as their cushion has lost its utility. Shahd al madinah hotel next door is a bit cheaper with better lobby seating n coffee shop. But generally Dallah Taibah hotel is very good. Read less
