Stayed here December 2023. I would not class this as a 5-star hotel at all, maybe 3-star. Our room was spacious and fairly clean, and that's about it. We were lucky to have a partial view of Masjid Al Haram and the Kaaba which was sheer luck. Now for the negatives - the bathroom was highly questionable, it is in desperate need of renovation and had an odd smell. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that. The reception staff are definitely racist and arrogant, they threw our passports across the desk at us during check-in - the 'man' would not even look at us or speak to us directly, he addressed the concierge who then came to speak to us and treated us with respect. 4-star for service is simply because of the absolutely amazing housekeeping staff - may Allah ease and rectify all of their affairs and bless them abundantly with a million times more than what they have, ameen - they made our stay so comfortable and were attentive and welcoming, nothing we requested was too much for them. This hotel is only worth staying at because of the location, the amazing housekeeping staff, and the shopping mall located inside the building. Read less

I recommend going to the food courts below the lobby floor, which has much better food. However, the cleaner stationed at my floor is really really nice and welcoming. The rooms have dirty carpets and old furniture. The smell is not good. Other people are very loud and smoking. You don't see staff in this hotel. 1 cleaning person and 1 at reception, that's it. One star is for cleaning the room daily and one for the location. You collect so much for the rooms, change at least this old furniture and bath! Let the people get the value for the money they pay that they feel they stay in a 5 star hotel! I will definitely not recommend this hotel and avoid it for the next visit. Read less

Terrible Experience – Not a 5-Star Hotel! Do not be fooled by the 5-star rating — this hotel is barely a 3-star at best. Our first room had visible mould, a broken shower and bathtub, filthy carpets, and layers of dust and dirt everywhere. We requested a room change, but the second room had the exact same issues. The third room was even worse — it started to smell like sewage shortly after we checked in. The entire hotel is extremely outdated, with rooms that look like they haven’t been renovated since the 1980s. This is nowhere near the standard you’d expect from a supposed 5-star establishment. To make matters worse, Alharam Travel (Romford Road, London) changed our hotel last minute — not once, but twice — and placed us in this awful place. Completely unacceptable and disappointing from both the hotel and the travel agency. Avoid at all costs. Read less

While not exceptional, the choices were satisfactory, and the quality was decent enough to start the day with a good meal. I especially enjoyed the Dacidoff coffee sachet provided in the room, which was a delightful touch. Speaking of the rooms, I found them to be quite pleasant overall. The mattress was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep, and I was pleased to find two pillows for each occupant, allowing for personalized comfort. The housekeeping staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that the rooms were kept tidy and well-maintained throughout our stay. Another delightful aspect of Frontel Madinah was its proximity to a Baskin Robbins cafe near the reception area. It was a perfect treat for a quick dessert after a day of exploring the city or attending prayers. Additionally, the hotel's location also allowed easy access to nearby shopping areas, which was a bonus for those who wanted to indulge in some retail therapy. In conclusion, Frontel Madinah is a hotel with both pros and cons. While its location near Masjid Nabawi and friendly housekeeping staff are definite assets, there are areas that need improvement, such as the slow and cramped elevator. All are good. Except one thing is harmful. I was staying in this hotel junior suite room 811 , stay date 28th July 2023. As per picture, you guys can see there is a steel peice has been fixed on the pillar behind the bed. My son was sleeping on bed , during he sleep he turned his hands towards another direction and touched this steel piece, which results cuts on his hands due to this steel decoration peice has sharp edges. You guys can see the blood on the bed of my son. I informed Mr. Khaled the duty manager, they just said one thing. We apologise for this, we will give you discount on your next visit. The beds are good but the extra bed was not that comfortable. The breakfast restaurant was packed with many guests even at the start time of the breakfast at 6 am ! The carpets were very old, some of the sockets didn't work, the wallpaper was falling off and the service was very poor. So you can imagine how would it feel like to rest on it with a family. Apart from that, the management is cooperative and helpful. And very much close to gate 16 of Majid nabi saww. The breakfast is awesome consisting of different yogurts, fresh fruits, fresh juices, breads and buns, muffins, donuts, omelets, scrambled eggs, falafel, one main dish, rice, salads, different types of cheese slices and many more.
