The staff were very welcoming, and the receptionist kindly gave me the worker’s number to help carry my luggage, which I appreciated. However, I want to be honest about a few points. The room soundproofing is not good — I could hear people in the hallways as well as construction noises from the building nearby. Also, the entrance is a bit difficult to access, especially during prayer times, since Google Maps directed me to the back entrance instead of the front under the Makkah Towers. In general, the hotel is good and convenient, but it would be much better if they improve the room insulation and make the main entrance easier to access. Read less

I stayed here with my family for 4 days and the hotel is fantastic. Very very close to Haram. Only 2 mins walk and your there. The prayers starts in front of the hotel so if your by any chance late you can easily pray just going out of the main door of the hotel. The always clean that road before prayer. The room service was amazing as everyone was well up to the task and always changed our towels and gave us water when we needed. The hotel check in process was great as I dealt with the front desk manager and he was excellent. The only drawback is the hotel do not have direct access to the road so you need to go to the clock tower underground where everyone gets dropped off and then use any of the elevators to go level 1 and walk less than a minute. If you call the hotel they will send a staff member there to pick you up from the clock tower drop off place underground. Overall a great hotel. Highly recommend Read less

Front staff is bit unresponsive, request for luggage movement at checkout was not granted. There is no access for taxi or car parking, often guest has to travel long to get taxi. Housekeeping on call was not working, needed to remind them quite often. Room makeup was not done for our four days of stay that generally expected of a 3-5 star hotel. I would rate this 5 star hands down. Great customer service, great room service and fantastic breakfast buffet. But I am rating it 2 so people know that this hotel has no access for cars, buses or taxis. If you are carrying more than one suitcase then this hotel is not for you. You're taxi will not be allowed to cross the checkpoints. It's 30 min walk. The fourth checkpoint is strictly blocked for any people coming in. I showed the security my reservation and still he didn't let me pass. I was lucky to have found 2 guys who know the system I guess, and portered my two luggage to the hotel. And then when we checked out, same issue. My taxi couldn't clear any check points because it was a big van with no passenger. So the hotel bellman got my luggage all the way through 2 checkpoints. From there I had to hire a small taxi, load my 3 suitcases at this point, for SR 20 for a 2 min drive where my transportation was waiting for me. Just ridiculous how it's a nightmare with the no taxi access to the hotel. If you are not carrying any suitcases then it's the best hotel. Otherwise completely opposite. For families with luggage, please select any hotel inside the clock tower, they all have access to transport in the basement. Read less

Every single day I had to go reception to swipe 💳 the key card or to have new replaced one. Many guests has been having the similar issue. I've spoken to the hotel manager in reception, he told me it's not upto him and he can't do anything on this. Also, this hotel needs few staffs who can actually communicate with guests in English, for example if I call room service he use to hang up because he couldn't speak English... Similar issue with the one and only female receptionist who can't speak or understand any English and she seemed so confused, aggressive and irresponsible. The hotel rate I would give 3*, the windows are very dirty, those who already stayed can witnessed everything I mentioned here. It's definitely not international standard! Lastly, I personally thank all the Bangladeshi workers of this hotel they've been extremely polite and helpful if any credit left, then it goes to them. The Arab staffs are completely useless! The first day breakfast was decent but then a lot of guests arrived and they reduced the number of juices and the number of sweet items available in breakfast. Also the hot water for tea would run out and there was no replacement immediately available. They would pour 30 liters to water heater and it would take 20 minutes to heat the water. I was upgraded to Quadruple suite with partial haram view. The room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel buffet is on level 2, food selection and temperatures ok. Hotel clean, bathrooms could do with a update. We booked two rooms via our agent, agent only gave us one reference number, despite giving the 2 x lead guest names, receptionists could not find the second room on their system which I found odd, I then had to get HCN numbers from agent to get both of our rooms despite both rooms being booked in my name and another family members name. Some language issues with receptionists as their English was limited. I was having date samples delivered and I asked the reception staff in english, have any date samples been delivered for room 109? Neither receptionist could understand what I was saying? They thought i wanted to book another date ! Lucky for us, there were Bangladeshi workers so I asked them in bengali and they said they put samples in our room. The receptionist were very helpful as were all the staff. The lifts are very well laid out which help make using them really quick without large queues. I’m someone who goes to top notch hotels such as Waldorf Astoria , Marriot Executive and even the Ritz! However this hotel came with a package going for Umrah , as it didn’t come with a choice and it was “5 stars” I had no issue. Little did I know , when I entered I thought that the reception was very small with weird blue lighting that makes it look like a fast food restaurant but that pales in comparison with the rooms and hotel service. Rooms had peeling paints with clashing colored walls that didn’t go together and bathrooms filled up with hair. Pillows (as you can see in the pic) are hard as if it had been stuffed with rocks , who is going to sleep on there?!? As I’m writing this review my neck is still hurting… Then we order room service for milk for my kid at 9:30… how can a bloody 5 star hotel tell you that they ran out of milk?!? On top of that they don’t have water at times and when you call them for the basic necessities such as shampoo or conditioner they come just three hours later WITH NOTHING IN THEIR HANDS!!! asking what I want despite me already saying it!! One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. When I stepped onto the hotel room, it smelt of smoke, and you could tell the cleaners tried to cover it up with light spray. The smoke left over smells on all of the beds including pillows, even though there’s a sign on every door that has a no smoking sign. I have a family of 6, and we wanted enough for each, but instead 1 of the room has 3 beds, and the other has 2. Dust is left everywhere and there are prints of fingerprints and white stuff everywhere. Even worst than this, somethings you can’t even eat breakfast due to the amount of people and how sqaushed it is. The WiFi barely does anything even though in every room it says ‘enjoy free high speed internet.’ The only thing they actually care about is the look of the elevators, but they’re also really bad due to the smallness and how much people enter, with only 5 lifts available. I am very disappointed with this hotel, and the money was not worth any of it AT ALL. Read less

I checked in the hotel for next four nights. Was worried after reading the comments of other previous guests of the hotel. Yes, the breakfast place is absolutely not meant to handle all the guests in this hotel. All floors have twenty rooms. The hotel Ground, Mezzanine and 14 floors over that. It has four basement floors as well. Yes, the elevators are slow and not according to large number of hotel guests. The hotel is otherwise comfortable, the staff is good. Very beautiful hotel helpful reception and porter service is good, but beds were all single and we were a couple so we asked the reception and they sorted it out happily, the AC was working fine had hot water and provided with shampoo and body wash etc the hotel was quite empty when we went on 8th August 2021 so the lifts were always available too, distance from muna kareem to haram entrance (gate 339) for ladies is very near like a 5 minute walk or less I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit madina al munawwarah.
