It’s a nice hotel with good facilities and overall a pleasant atmosphere. But breakfast juices are crap. There were minor problems in bathroom but maintainace team sorted. However, one major issue I noticed is with the management. If you are not Arab, they tend to treat you differently — for example, asking you to sit in a separate seating area, even though we are all paying the same. Even the viennoiseries were disappointing. The elevator works well and is easily accessible, and I noticed that the hotel entrance—though a bit dark—is being cleaned regularly, which gave me some comfort. But the room itself was the biggest letdown. From the first moment I entered, it felt dirty. The carpet was not clean, the air was stuffy, and even the bottles of water had dust on them, showing they had been sitting there for a long time. The closet and chandelier were also dusty and not well maintained. To be fair, the bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious enough for three people. We are currently staying here, in room 430 and we are very pleased with the service we have received from staff in this hotel. The cleaners are very attentive, the restaurant area for breakfast has a good variety of food and different food every few days. The room size is good and has everything you need, a hair dryer, towels and bidet. The location is about 10-15 minutes from the haram, depending on how fast you walk but along the way you get to see lots of different shops, which is nice. I am happy with my stay here. Read less

NEVER EVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL. The only hotel in the Emaar group worth staying is Emaar Andalusia. The rest are not trustworthy. I am inclined to give a one star review right at the time of check in. There are two towers of the hotel and only one deals with the online check in. In the reception there are four check in counters out of which two are unattended. The two functional counters are taking one hour per customer literally. There is a big cue but two counters are unattended and the two functioning are extremely extremely slow. Their computer software seems to be stuck. The deputy manager is relaxing on his computer and is rarely helping people. The hotel does not seem to have the physical availability of already booked hotel. The customers have to wait for very long in the check in lounge sometimes along with their children. Waiting time for an average customer is two hours. There were times when there was only one receptionist as the other one went out for fresh air for a very long time. Pathetic service. The hotel needs to be closed. Only one receptionist dealing with the long cue of customers and taking phone calls. No other person at the reception desk. The lifts are highly unsafe and dangerous. No sensors. Your hand can be squished if you squeeze in. The rooms are extremely small with no double beds. Not recommended to anyone. Read less

I recently stayed at the Emaar Grand Hotel in Mecca, booking a room advertised for five people. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, especially larger groups. The room itself was incredibly tight for five beds. We were practically on top of each other, and there was barely any space to move around or store our belongings comfortably. This lack of space made our stay very uncomfortable and frankly, quite stressful. Beyond the cramped quarters, the room service was also severely lacking. On multiple occasions, we tried to contact room service, but the phone simply went unanswered. This made it impossible to request basic necessities or address any issues we had. Considering the high price we paid for this hotel, the level of service and the size of the room were completely unacceptable. It felt like we were significantly overcharged for a very poor experience. If you are planning a trip to Mecca and require accommodation for more than a couple of people, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. The Emaar Grand Hotel's cramped rooms and unreliable service are not worth the money or the frustration. Save yourself the disappointment and book a different hotel. Read less

We have only been here for two days tonight being the third and i am just honestly so ready to go home, which is upsetting. 1) the rooms are decent sized, as far as i know. our room was for three people so there were three beds. Very standard. However, the windows are broken and you can hear EVERYTHING outside. 2) the toilet smells and is always 24/7 hot. It’s very tight and cramped. and once again like every other review we were only given two towels despite being three people. Normally hotels i’ve been to you get at least two towels per person the second one being a smaller towel??! 3) THE LIFTS. If you want clarity and a peace of mind please don’t even consider booking here! There are so many lifts but there are WAYY MORE people. You can wait for the lift for almost 1 HOUR 4) Lastly the distance. It’s not worth your money it’s a long walk and isn’t “5 minutes”! May Allah ease her life. The breakfast is good. The hotel is around 10-12 minutes to Haram. Room is big and toilet is clean.Aircond is superb. Wifi also very fast. Im grateful to found this hotel even is not like the nearest or higher star to masjid.. Its still a good and clean room. Also theres a lot of shop/food along the way to hotel from masjid. Always helpful, gave everything i needed. Cleaned the room when I asked. Like I said housekeeping were just GREAT. The location of the hotel was in the BEST place. Booked a 4 persons room, it was terrible as the beds were laid out in a very awkward position that left no other space in the hotel room, we barely had enough space to open our suitcases. The hotel management in general is poor, they don't clean the rooms properly. Everytime we ask for water bottles they either only give 2 or don't give any. We had a minor incident where we needed to check the CCTV footage for our floor, it took 3 days for us to finally get somewhere with this. Hotel manager is rude and walked off as we were speaking to him. The reception staff again is incompetent and does not seem to care about anything. The switches are really strange as the sockets are connected to the lights in the room, everytime u want to charge your phone etc u have to keep the light on which is really really strange. The only thing that was decent was the food. Breakfast and dinner items are always fresh and they change the dishes they make quite often . Frontbif house need better Customer service skills especially the lady at reception who when posed with a problem seems to uses gestures and arrogance as her way to deal with issues. The gentlemen and the service guys are very helpful and pleasant. Having stayed for a few days with several problems and then room changes this seemed to be common as many other guests had the same issue and same broken promises. For a hotel with ample rooms it seemed like they just couldn't be bothered. Broken telephones broken lights , lack of facilities and 1 iron to use amongst the hundreds of rooms and you won't get one for 3 days and even then you only can use for 1 hr, constant trips to reception but all broken false promises. The good things about the place is it is value for money and you could see that once upon a time it was 5 star but now pushing 3 stars. This is a very good hotel compared to the other hotels in the vicinity. It’s located in Ibrahim Al Khalil street, about 1 Km walk from the Haram (about 15-20 minutes walk depending on your speed). I have booked a quad room. It was spacious, clean and doesn’t smell. It had street view, from the 8th floor, beds and linen were clean, bathroom was well maintained and clean. The room is spacious enough for the needs, there is a kettle and facility to make coffee, and there is a small fridge. Electronic card keys work fine with no issues. There is a small wardrobe / hanger for clothes. The single beds and mattresses are comfortable. I would give this room / hotel an overall rating of 8/10. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Check in was almost seamless with no issues. It did take few minutes longer to check in more than necessary, but compared to other hotels in the region and previous experiences, it was really good. The rooms smell of cigarettes and the pillows and bedcovers are just dirty, they don't give a nice feel at all. The pillows are too hard aswell I was literally using the extra blanket in the room as a pillow for the 8 days I stayed here. It was awful. The rooms were a disgrace. I am currently staying at this hotel and there has been constant issues the second we checked in. The entire room smelt of cigarettes despite asking for assistance from staff. We asked to change rooms yet there was the same situation. The bathroom was horrible with mould marks everywhere. Clearly nothing has been cleaned before we came in because the floors and the doors were very dirty. The shower was absolutely disgusting, the water kept falling out everywhere. The toilet seat broke which we had to call housekeeping for and yet there was issues with it. Hygiene levels need to be improved immediately as we felt very uncomfortable from the very beginning. There is very limited supply of products. In a 4 guest bedroom, they only provide one toilet tissue and when asked for more they always get very hesitant. We requested a room change due to a strong fishy smell in the first room, only to be moved to another room where we experienced the bed bug infestation. If cleanliness, comfort, and decent service matter to you, avoid this hotel at all costs. While the location is convenient, nothing else about this place is worth the stay. I’ve had the best experience in Shaza back in October. I’m very surprised to see the recent negative reviews though. I booked it from booking dot com and had no trouble paying at the property. Our quad room was spacious, clean and new looking. We were greeted with juices and check in was swift. We were also given complimentary fruit platter on arrival. I thought it was a one time thing only but they delivered another fruit platter to our room two days later again which was a nice surprise. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. We got our rooms cleaned whenever we wanted. The breakfast buffet was really lovely too. They have live egg station but no pancakes one. Although pan cakes and french toasts are available in buffet everyday. Karak tea was being offered by a very friendly waiter everyday who made friends with my teenage son and made sure my mum got hot tea every morning. The customer relation desk lady (forgot the name) used to call us on our room telephone to check up on us every day and to see if we needed anything. In short I absolutely loved staying there and will book it again in a heartbeat as it’s only 5-6 minutes straight walk to the gate 333/334/335. Read less
