I would like to sincerely commend Abdur Rahman, who provided room service during my stay at Voco Hotel Makkah. I was staying in room 81107, and throughout my entire stay, his service stood out as truly exceptional. Abdur Rahman was incredibly responsive and attentive at all times. No matter the request, big or small, he handled everything with genuine care, efficiency, and a positive attitude. He always made sure our needs were fully understood and promptly taken care of, often going above and beyond what was expected. His willingness to help, calm demeanor, and consistent professionalism made a noticeable difference in our overall experience. What impressed me most was his readiness to assist at any moment and his ability to anticipate our needs even before we had to ask. He carried himself with kindness, respect, and a strong sense of hospitality, which truly reflects the high standards of Voco Hotel Makkah. I had a very pleasant stay at voco Makkah, and overall everything was excellent. The hotel is located on the main road, Ibrahim Al Khalil, which makes access very convenient. The check-in process was smooth and well organized. Mr. Faris at the reception was extremely helpful, polite, and professional, which made a great first impression. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were very supportive, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was up to the mark. I stayed for 8 days with my family, and we felt well taken care of during the entire stay. I have also stayed at voco Makkah previously, and my experience then was equally good. During my earlier stay, the shuttle service was extremely convenient and available at all times, even during prayer times. The shuttle drop-off was at Clock Tower parking, which made it very easy to reach Haram. On this visit, the shuttle drop-off has been changed to Ajyad parking. From there, the walk to Haram is about 5 to 7 minutes, and the shuttle service stops one hour before prayer time. While the earlier arrangement was more convenient, the current setup is still manageable. Overall, voco Makkah is an excellent hotel with great service, cleanliness, and a prime location. I would highly recommend it for families and would be happy to stay here again in the future. Read less

The lobby and interior are absolutely beautiful, with a café and a mall downstairs, which made everything so convenient. Stepping outside to see the Clock Tower was such a lovely view, and the hotel is only a 10–15 minute walk to Masjid Al Haram with an easy and straightforward route. The breakfast buffet and dinner offered a great variety of options, and the food was genuinely delicious. The service was outstanding everyone was welcoming, helpful, and always happy to answer any questions. Room service was also excellent, with a separate menu and delicious food. It would be even better if there were more Lebanese food options ☺️ The reception staff were very friendly, and there is a shuttle bus every 20 minutes to Al-Haram Al-Makki.

We have stayed 9 nights (4+5) during our stay in Makkah and we had a very good experience at this hotel from check in to check out. Rooms and washrooms were neat and clean. Service was very good, room cleaning, room service everything was top notch. This hotel gives you facility of 5 star hotel in 2 star hotel prices. Economical with luxury. Shuttle is 24/7 direct from hotel to Haram and if you're comfortable in walking you can also go to Haram by walk especially in night time which is around 1.3 km. Pro tip: go to Haram 1 hour before Salah and comeback hotel after 1 or 1 and half hour later from Salah because right before and after salah shuttle can be too much crowded as we have experienced. Update: I have to update my review to reflect what happened after hajj, they decreased the number of buses significantly without considering the number of visitors still staying in the hotel, resulted in long waiting times for buses to come and waiting your turn or keep standing the whole time, this turned the movement to el haram to nightmare specially that haram gate is now shared with people of another hotels and you have to stay in same line with them. Although i was planning to consider the hotel for umrah later, but after this experience i will certainly look for another hotel near to haram as i can't guarantee the buses availability and timing. The hotel is very nice, rooms are excellent. Room service needs to be improved, it is the first time to stay in a hotel where i have to request room service when needed, and i have to specify what they are required to do, and sometimes when i request 3-4 actions, some of them are done and some don't. We stayed for 2 weeks with almost the same food everyday, but they started introducing new staff after 2 weeks. Read less

Mr. Bukhari at the Reception was extremely polite and helpful, which is a rare sight amongst most hotels I've stayed in makkah and madina. We had a truly wonderful stay at Jiwar Al Madina Hotel for 6 days during the blessed month of Ramadan. The hotel’s location is simply outstanding, just a 5 minute walk to the Haram, near Gate 305. This made it incredibly convenient for us, especially during Ramadan when frequent visits to the Masjid are part of the daily routine. Being so close allowed us to attend prayers comfortably without worrying about long walks or transportation. From the moment we arrived, everything was handled professionally and smoothly. We had requested a late check-in in advance since our flight landed at Madina Airport late at night, and the hotel accommodated our request without any issues. The check-in process was quick and stress-free. The two receptionists who were on the night shift (I unfortunately didn’t catch their names) were always polite, welcoming, and extremely helpful throughout our stay. Every time we needed assistance, they responded with patience and professionalism, which made us feel valued as guests. We had two separate bookings — my husband and I stayed on the 8th floor, while my parents stayed on the 9th floor. Both rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was calm and pleasant, which added to the spiritual experience of staying in Madina during Ramadan. The rooms were well-equipped with all necessary facilities, and everything was maintained in excellent condition. I would especially like to highlight the housekeeping staff, who played a major role in making our experience exceptional On the 8th floor, Ibrahim and Shahid were responsible for our room, and they both did an outstanding job. They were incredibly attentive, respectful, and hardworking. Every day, they ensured our room was spotless, organized, and refreshed to a high standard. What really stood out was their genuine care and attentiveness, they would always ask if we needed anything extra, whether it was additional towels, water bottles, or toiletries, and they provided everything immediately with a smile. During Ramadan, when rest is so important between prayers, coming back to a perfectly clean and comfortable room made a huge difference. Their consistency, positive attitude, and dedication to their work did not go unnoticed. They went above and beyond basic housekeeping duties and made us feel truly cared for. On the 9th floor, where my parents stayed, Numan Ahmed and one more person (I forgot to ask their name) were equally impressive. They were extremely kind, professional, and attentive to my parents’ needs. They made sure my parent’s room was always clean, fresh, and well-maintained. My parents especially appreciated their respectful manner and prompt service. Whenever they required anything, they responded quickly and efficiently. Knowing that my parents were comfortable and well taken care of gave us great peace of mind. Numan’s and the other guy’s commitment to guest satisfaction truly reflects the high standards of the hotel. We would also like to give special appreciation to the Bengali uncle porter (I don’t remember his name) at the hotel entrance. He was extremely helpful, friendly, and informative from the very beginning. He warmly welcomed us, assisted with our luggage, and always guided us with useful information — whether it was directions, nearby facilities, or general assistance around the hotel and Haram area. His kindness and approachable nature made a lasting impression, and he always greeted guests with sincerity and a smile, creating a very welcoming environment. Overall, our experience at Jiwar Al Madina Hotel exceeded our expectations. The prime location, smooth service, comfortable rooms, and especially the exceptional housekeeping team made our Ramadan stay memorable and stress-free.
