I would like to give my special consideration to Mr Abdullah Allahyani at the reception. The check-in was quick and smooth. He was excellent indeed and I cannot stress that enough. Likewise the staff who helped me with the bags and answering all my questions. I would also like to say that the room service staff have been excellent and quick . The service is 10/10. I would like to specially thank Mr Tanveer Hussein . They are always keen to clean your room and this very much appreciated. The breakfast services were also excellent with a variety of menu. Special thanks to Mr Tanvir Safi who assisted me and my mother. He is excellent indeed. The hotel is within a walking distance literally to the masjid 3 to 4 minutes . The hotel is also connected to the Souk Khalil mall. Everything that you need is within a walking distance. When I come back for Umrah insha allah this will be the only hotel I want to stay in. Good location, clean well priced rooms and suites, but there are lots of things wrong with this hotel, they are doing too much sometimes, one of the cleaning workers entered the room while my sister was still there, the service over the phone too complicated to a point I had to spend 7 minutes just to say I want a tooth brush and a bag, and when I finally told them and it has been 35 minutes now and still waiting for them. The parking lot costs half of the room’s price, and everyone I asked has given me a different price. In conclusion, Good clean well priced rooms and suites, bad service and the inconsistency caused me confusion. The hotel’s location is also excellent, with easy access to the Haram through the side gate, making it very convenient especially during prayer times. There are tons of great food options on a walking distance to the hotel. Taxi, Madina Sightseeing bus (hop on hop off), pharmacies, grocery, and all kinds of shopping are all very close. We really loved our stay at the hotel. We stayed in a quad room, which was very capacious, clean, and amazing. WiFi is super fast, and buffet breakfast is THE BEST, with tons of options for everyone. They allowed us to check in early even when all the surrounding hotels refused, and they even upgraded our room to a suite with Haram view. This is truly the hospitality you get from the lovely people of Almadinah. A special shout-out to our housekeeping guy, Sadam — he was really nice, generous, and honestly the highlight of our stay. His supervisor, Mahabul Islam, was also very professional and made sure everything was perfect. I also loved the variety at breakfast; the restaurant was very clean, cozy, and well organized. And not to forget Lojain from PR at the reception — she was extremely helpful, keen on getting our feedback through the survey, and assisted us smoothly with our late checkout request. The experience was terrible from start to finish, and I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere. Poor Cleanliness: The room was not clean upon arrival. The bathroom was particularly shocking, with visible grime on the tiles and a general sense of neglect. For a supposed 5-star hotel, this is completely unacceptable. Lifts are a Nightmare: With only three working lifts for a 13-floor hotel, getting anywhere is a major ordeal. What should be a quick 3-minute walk to the mosque turned into a frustrating 30-minute journey just because of the long wait times for the lifts. This is a massive inconvenience, especially for a hotel that caters to pilgrims. Horrible Breakfast Experience: The breakfast was chaotic and unorganized. None of the food items were labeled, so you had to guess what everything was. The egg station had a single, incredibly slow worker, leading to long queues. This lack of organization and poor service makes for a very unpleasant start to the day. Terrible Odors: The hallway on my floor had a persistent and awful smell that was truly unbearable. Terrible Experience – Not a 5-Star Hotel! Do not be fooled by the 5-star rating — this hotel is barely a 3-star at best. Our first room had visible mould, a broken shower and bathtub, filthy carpets, and layers of dust and dirt everywhere. We requested a room change, but the second room had the exact same issues. The third room was even worse — it started to smell like sewage shortly after we checked in. The entire hotel is extremely outdated, with rooms that look like they haven’t been renovated since the 1980s. This is nowhere near the standard you’d expect from a supposed 5-star establishment. To make matters worse, Alharam Travel (Romford Road, London) changed our hotel last minute — not once, but twice — and placed us in this awful place. As per picture, you guys can see there is a steel peice has been fixed on the pillar behind the bed. My son was sleeping on bed , during he sleep he turned his hands towards another direction and touched this steel piece, which results cuts on his hands due to this steel decoration peice has sharp edges. You guys can see the blood on the bed of my son. I informed Mr. Khaled the duty manager, they just said one thing. We apologise for this, we will give you discount on your next visit. So you can imagine how would it feel like to rest on it with a family. Apart from that, the management is cooperative and helpful. And very much close to gate 16 of Majid nabi saww.
