I might have had high expectations, which made it a letdown! The AC was noisy all night, there was a leak from it, and there was no toothbrush or toothpaste! (I'm mentioning these issues because it wasn't a budget stay.) I called the reception several times, but no one picked up! On a positive note, if you're planning to visit haram five times a day, the location is super convenient for walking to the Haram!

Room service is too weak and poor room facilities.. air conditioning has single adjustment (too cold or switch it off!) and works too noisy… poor signs for finding the hotel entrance through the bazaar. Reception is half time empty. Shower has no headset (only top)…. The location is one of the best, food was delicious and wide variety of dishes but dinner start time is a bit too late (7pm) One addition: internet speed is too low (kilobit per second)

Stayed here August 2024 and it was a good experience. We didn't have any issues during check-in and the concierge was very helpful with their advice. Our room felt slightly smaller than anticipated, but there was still enough room for all our suitcases to be laid out and space to pray and walk etc. The bathroom was slightly outdated but nothing like the other hotel in the same building. The location is excellent and only a short walk away from Masjid Al Haram. The building has plenty of shopping outlets as well as a food court so we did not need to eat breakfast at this hotel. The experience overall was great and we would definitely come back to stay here again.

Staying at Al Safwa Orchid Hotel was truly an unforgettable experience. If you're visiting Makkah and looking for a hotel that combines comfort, convenience, and outstanding service, look no further. Location: 5/5 You cannot ask for a better location – just 5 minutes and you're inside the Mataf area. The hotel is literally connected to the Haram, allowing you to pray with the congregation and never miss a single prayer. This makes it especially perfect for elderly guests or families with kids. Facilities: 5/5 The hotel includes a 3-floor shopping mall and a diverse food court offering cuisines from around the world at very reasonable prices. Whether you're craving something traditional or international, you’ll find it here. There are also big supermarkets with all the essentials readily available – a huge plus for anyone planning a longer stay. Room Service: 5/5 Room service was excellent – fast, responsive, and always polite. A special mention to Mr. Umer Farooq, who was exceptionally kind and attentive. He consistently made sure our stay was smooth and comfortable, and we truly appreciated his efforts. Reception & Management: 5/5 The reception staff were incredibly welcoming and always happy to help with any request. But what truly made a difference was Mr. Abdullah, the Manager of Al Safwa Orchid. He is not just professional but also deeply kind and respectful. His warm demeanor and genuine concern for guests’ satisfaction make him stand out as a top-tier hotel manager. It’s rare to come across someone who leads with both heart and efficiency – Mr. Abdullah is the reason why many guests return again and again.

Hotel’s prime location near the Haram is its strongest asset, just minutes from the Kaaba . However, my stay didn’t fully meet 5-star expectations. The room felt dated with old furniture, and housekeeping was inconsistent—basic requests like drinking water required multiple calls . The breakfast was average. For the price, I expected better maintenance and service. While the staff were polite (especially at reception)

The Excellent about the hotel is its location by the Haram. The second good thing is the breakfast. The bad thing is the cleaning , they never come to clean the room and even I requested to have non smoking rooms , the whole floor was all smelling like smoke. Staff when asked support but I stayed 4 days/3 nights and requested cleaning but they never came.

The hotel is located opposite the Haram. So this would make it very close to the Haram. The real 5 stars is for having a Masjid within the Hotel which follows the Haram. Therefore saving alot of time fighting crowds or making your trip more convenient. Our cleaner on the 5th floor Monju Miah was always on hand and very helpful catering our needs around our schedule. There are plenty of lifts to accommodate everyone. The replacement breakfast for iftaar was tremendous. The negatives is that the hotel rooms are quite dated and they gave us a room with what could be best described as a prison view. If the convenience to the Haram wasn't present, this could be a very low star rating. Video attached is the view from the Masjid within Hotel.

Great location as 2nd nearest to Masjidil Haram also on top of the safwah markets which does provide easy access to shops and the food court but also means its PACKED with people. Housekeeping needs to be VERY improved - do not allow towel changes, towel given are often tattered. Furniture and door are also run-down can be further improved. Food was so-so they had to cater to many tastes which means most times the dishes tend to be under or over-spiced. The musollah esp for muslimat is great though! Its shared with the other safwa towers hotel but its spacious and have to commend the ladies taking care of it.. always ensuring space utilized well and the whole area clean. As an alternative if going to masjidil haram too far or crowded, this space is great for your ibadat...

The hotel is extremely close to the Haram. Literally in front of King Abdul Aziz gate where you need to enter to perform Umrah. It's convenient with food too. As the floor below from the lobby using the escalators is asian restaurants Pakistani/indian/bengali, fresh fruit juice stands, ice creams, and Arab food. And the 2nd floor down from the lobby you have all the abaaya shops and thobes. The hotel is very convenient. However to exchange money you'll need to go into the clock tower mall because the previous money exchange shops that were in safwa towers are no longer there. The hotel room itself was big. The mattress was quite hard. Maybe ask for extra duvet to layer it? But you get used to it anyway. Room service need reminding sometimes to clean room. But only if you don't allow them to clean it before zuhr when most people are still sleeping. Cant comment on hotel food as we just bought food from the restaurants below the lobby. I've previously only stayed at swissotel its less luxury than that BUT so much less walking and convenience of food kind of outweighs the "luxury feel"

A hotel located in Makkah Al-Safwa Towers. It has a wonderful view of the Holy Haram. Staff are very helpful and cooperative with customers. Its prices are special. There is an open buffet restaurant very close to the Haram. You go down to it from the gate. The complex has an experience that will be repeated again. It's great to go down to the courtyards of the sanctuary, there are parking lots at 23 riyals

When in Makkah Near Haram you need a place to stay the closest to Masjid Al Haram. To gain Max Benefits of Ibadah. The Main reason this Hotel Excels is it is just inside the Haram. Near WC -3 and Almost In Front of Bab-Abdul Aziz.

This hotel is located right at the front of The Haram Mosque, easy and quick access for anyone who wants to visit Haram. There's also shopping center in 3 first floors under the hotel. Con: for 5 stars hotel, the cleanliness is a bit under my expectations. But maybe the amounts of peoples who stay here are too big to handle, especially at time for eating (bf, lunch, dinner) overwhelmed the waiters.

Definitely not a 5-Star Hotel, 3.5 at BEST. Did not have a pleasant stay. The staff were very virtuous though. Food given for breakfast has not been appetizing for the 5 days we were here. There are NO IRONS in the rooms. Calling the front desk or services gets you nothing as I called a few times with no action, asked for an Iron Board, water and ice because I broke my toe in their too small bathroom. Who has a door stopper coming out the middle of the floor. Terrible planning. It DOES, however, provide quick and easy access to Al Haram, which is the reason why we’re all here.

Location this hotel so near with Masjidil Haram, but room facilities condition very bad and housekeeping service very slow i need to waiting iron & iron board almost more 3hour to their send to my room. Cleanliness and facilities in bathroom so moderate. Maybe management need to take serious about this matter cause this hotel is 5â. No matter u have full house capacity but u still need give best services as per rate hotel star. I don't want to touch about the food cause their repeating served same menu every time every day.

Room and bath room are too small for 5 stars hotel. But understood this is old style hotel. Restaurant employees works without smile, they work noisy when take all stuff from tables (less hospitality) The 5 stars point is only for its location very close to Haram also there is Arabian traditional style market under the hotel. Laundry, barber shop and food court are available on the market

Amazing- located in the Safwah towers with all the amenities one would need, although a very busy hotel must add the stay here was just ideal due to its location being right opposite to the grand mosque. Breakfast ( buffet) was good. Rooms are standard and clean not large enough to accommodate a quad request.

If you missed the prayer in Mecca but you still want to Pray with the priest, then just go to Mosque at Safwah Orchid Hotel. The mosque has been gazette as part of the Mecca Mosque. Food is nice especially the desserts and Mandy Rice... I love it. The hotel also got supermarkets and you can buy survenior at a negotiable price.
Best access to Haram. Nice marker and restaurant collection below the hotel

Last night stayed on 15th floor. Very poor room.... price of five star and room condition was not even one star... Hard pillows... worst quality muslim shower... Third class furniture
Better then expected but entrence a bit tricky
Got best deal via booking.com The service is very nice and the reception person was very cooperative. The room looks to have new furniture and a other amenities
One of my most favorite place ..everything is just perfect ðŸ‘ðŸ»
It's nice hotel bcs we can see harom from up
Need to focus on room services. Especially housekeeping

Good place to stay, few meters from your room and you will be inside Haram just going down the electric stairs. The breakfast is good with multiple varieties of food. The rooms are clean and their sizes are acceptable. The bad think is the response from bellman they are always busy and don't come I had to take my luggage by myself in both arrival and departure.
Expensive hotel, the service is less than price
Nice place to take a rest while waiting for praying.
There is no sanitisation seen in the lifts and elevators
Location is good (5 star) because close to Kaaba. Service and Food need to be improve (3star).

The rooms are too small, only 6 elevators 3 of them are out of service, bathroom was not clean when i arrived, and construction in the 3rd floor was going on!!! I was in the 2nd floor and when i complained they only said what we can do is to change your room! However, they did not say in advance that this will happen and even though i said that i am leaving tomorrow and this is not possible they did not respond. I do not advise any one to stay there!

Assalamu Alaykum, Room 204, second floor. My stay at Frontel Al Harithia was truly wonderful. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to Al-Masjid An-Nabawi, which made attending prayers so easy and peaceful. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. From the reception team to the housekeeping staff, everyone went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. The room was clean, spacious, and well-kept, and I appreciated the calm atmosphere after long days. I’m very grateful for the hospitality and would definitely recommend Frontel Al Harithia to anyone visiting Madinah. In shaa Allah, I would love to stay here again on my next trip. Alhamdulillah.

AVOID at all costs - Misleading 5-Star Rating This hotel is an absolute disappointment and a far cry from the 5-star rating it boasts online. The experience was terrible from start to finish, and I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere. Poor Cleanliness: The room was not clean upon arrival. The bathroom was particularly shocking, with visible grime on the tiles and a general sense of neglect. For a supposed 5-star hotel, this is completely unacceptable. Lifts are a Nightmare: With only three working lifts for a 13-floor hotel, getting anywhere is a major ordeal. What should be a quick 3-minute walk to the mosque turned into a frustrating 30-minute journey just because of the long wait times for the lifts. This is a massive inconvenience, especially for a hotel that caters to pilgrims. Horrible Breakfast Experience: The breakfast was chaotic and unorganized. None of the food items were labeled, so you had to guess what everything was. The egg station had a single, incredibly slow worker, leading to long queues. This lack of organization and poor service makes for a very unpleasant start to the day. Terrible Odors: The hallway on my floor had a persistent and awful smell that was truly unbearable. It made the entire experience feel dirty and unhygienic. Overall, this hotel is poorly managed, unhygienic, and a complete waste of money. There are plenty of other hotels in Medina that offer a much better experience and are actually worthy of their ratings. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else.

My family and I stayed at Frontel Hotel for 4 days part of our Umrah journey, the hotel location is fantastic which is closer to the masjid al Nabawi, staff was very polite and helpful, and everything was perfect including the biggest buffet breakfast, the food was delicious. This is one of the best hotels that you can find because it is neat and clean throughout the building, and all the staffs goes beyond to make your memorable experience. In'sha'Allah coming back again.

Alhamdulillah we came in this hotel with high hopes as they class as 5* but I think this hotel is not even close to 3* unfortunately. Reception staff was well professional specially MISS SHOUG ALHARBI. When we arrived at the hotel she welcomed us with smile 😃 and sort our room well before our check in time.i gave her 10 out of 10 for her commitment also good luck for her future employment. Room service very poor. Restaurant nit and clean. Breakfast very normal not we expected. We expected high standard choice of food but not possible till we checked out.

One major thing that ruined this hotel for me was the air conditioning. My mum, dad and I got really sick. it seems as if they don’t regularly clean and dust kept coming out of the filter. My mum being really sensitive to dust got really sick, we had to keep the air conditioning on though as it was really hot. Not a good place for health.
Excellent Hotel despite being busy during the season. Excellent food, enjoyment for the mouth, and gut, too. Direct connection to Masjid.

Terrible Experience – Not a 5-Star Hotel! Do not be fooled by the 5-star rating — this hotel is barely a 3-star at best. Our first room had visible mould, a broken shower and bathtub, filthy carpets, and layers of dust and dirt everywhere. We requested a room change, but the second room had the exact same issues. The third room was even worse — it started to smell like sewage shortly after we checked in. The entire hotel is extremely outdated, with rooms that look like they haven’t been renovated since the 1980s. This is nowhere near the standard you’d expect from a supposed 5-star establishment. To make matters worse, Alharam Travel (Romford Road, London) changed our hotel last minute — not once, but twice — and placed us in this awful place. Completely unacceptable and disappointing from both the hotel and the travel agency. Avoid at all costs.
This hotel is awesome! Location wise it is the best, takes a minute to get into the mosque and always find space inside or out. I absolutely loved it

Love the hotel. Fantastic location. The size of the room is brilliant as well. Breakfast is mid. The main issue is the lifts. They take too long when there is a lot of people. No algorithm just stops at every single floor. Annoyingly 1 or 2 of the lifts are just for service too.

The staff are very helpful and service is great but the hotel itself isn’t anywhere near 5 star quality (they charge you if you want additional water) and the facilities aren’t up to 5 star standards. At most I would give it a 3 star. Location is great and very convenient for family as it is close to ladies gate. Food was ok

This Hotel is Excellent in every way from the decor to customer service is faultless. I have stayed with my family and friends whenever I travel to Medinah, and each time the service has been exceptional Alhamdullilah. I recommend this hotel as it’s a couple of minutes away from Masjid Al Nawabi, directly to women’s gate. Perfect location. You will not be disappointed. It’s states it’s a 4 star but better then any 5 star.
Very nearby to gate 329 of Masjid Al Nabwi.. Very nice interiors, but rooms are compact for a five-star hotel.. lots of shopping complexes in next door buildings..

Title: Conveniently Located Hotel with Some Areas for Improvement - Frontel Madinah I recently stayed at Frontel Madinah during my visit to the holy city of Madinah, and overall, it was a decent experience. The hotel boasts a fantastic location, being near the iconic Masjid Nabawi, which made it very convenient for attending prayers and exploring the city. However, I must admit that the first impression of the hotel was slightly underwhelming. The elevator was disappointingly slow, leading to some frustrating wait times during peak hours. Additionally, the elevator itself was quite cramped, which could be uncomfortable, especially for guests with mobility concerns. One of the highlights of my stay was the food selection offered during breakfast and lunch. While not exceptional, the choices were satisfactory, and the quality was decent enough to start the day with a good meal. I especially enjoyed the Dacidoff coffee sachet provided in the room, which was a delightful touch. Speaking of the rooms, I found them to be quite pleasant overall. The mattress was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep, and I was pleased to find two pillows for each occupant, allowing for personalized comfort. The housekeeping staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that the rooms were kept tidy and well-maintained throughout our stay. Another delightful aspect of Frontel Madinah was its proximity to a Baskin Robbins cafe near the reception area. It was a perfect treat for a quick dessert after a day of exploring the city or attending prayers. Additionally, the hotel's location also allowed easy access to nearby shopping areas, which was a bonus for those who wanted to indulge in some retail therapy. In conclusion, Frontel Madinah is a hotel with both pros and cons. While its location near Masjid Nabawi and friendly housekeeping staff are definite assets, there are areas that need improvement, such as the slow and cramped elevator. Despite some shortcomings, I would consider staying here again in the future, given its convenience and the overall satisfactory experience during my visit.

All are good. Except one thing is harmful. I was staying in this hotel junior suite room 811 , stay date 28th July 2023. As per picture, you guys can see there is a steel peice has been fixed on the pillar behind the bed. My son was sleeping on bed , during he sleep he turned his hands towards another direction and touched this steel piece, which results cuts on his hands due to this steel decoration peice has sharp edges. You guys can see the blood on the bed of my son. I informed Mr. Khaled the duty manager, they just said one thing. We apologise for this, we will give you discount on your next visit. They don't care about some hurts badly.

The hotel location is perfect specially for a family. Few steps to the Haram’s piazza. The cleanliness is average. The room fit out and furniture are bet old and worn-out. Room is missing floor towel, slippers, and some other kits that supposed to be available in four or five stars hotels even you may find it in 3 stars as well. The cost is extremely overpriced compared to the service you get.

An excellent choice if you are looking for a hotel which is very close to Al Haram. The hotel is reasonably clean and the staff are friendly and service is very good . The beds are good but the extra bed was not that comfortable. The breakfast restaurant was packed with many guests even at the start time of the breakfast at 6 am ! Due to the crowds , you don’t feel comfortable as some one could take your table while you’re bring your food. However, the breakfast was very good and there were many varieties.

This hotel is VERY BAD. Very DIRTY room. Very Dim lights in the hallway. TV doesn't work. Sink was clogged prior to even using. Dirty room and bedsheets. When you call reception/front desk they don't even answer. You don't hear the ADHAN in the room. Made us wait hours before checking in, and said they didn't have any rooms available so we had to wait for hours, and we had booked a week prior. I don't recommend this hotel at all!!!!!! Please rethink before booking here. Don't waste your money, because you will regret it.

We booked a family room with 4 beds and only got two. We had to ask for two more beds which took another 2 hours and even then they were uncomfortable. The carpets were very old, some of the sockets didn't work, the wallpaper was falling off and the service was very poor. The only reason we evenrated it 2 stars was because of its location and convenience. I do no5 recommend this hotel and you should sav3 your money for a better hotel.

The location and the room size (junior triples), parking free are only the good things in this hotel. The cupboards was broken, change the room, then the air conditioning stop working in the other room which needs to change the room again. The light wasn't working well. The staff were not qualified to work in hotels services, food in the resturant just okay no thing amazing. So many problems have in my stay in this hotel. Sanitiser in the lift always was empty. For sure I will not book in this hotel again and not recommend for people.

The location of the hotel is perfect and it seems very clean and nice hotel. However I give 2 stars because I have faced the most disappointing behavior from this hotel. They canceled my reservation without giving me a reason and get back to me. After coming from long distance, I didn’t find any kind of hospitality and the only answer that I get “ Sorry, we are in season periodâ€. Which is not an excuse for such behavior.

Had wonderful stay in Frontel Al Harithia with family. Staff was well mannered and cooperative. Showed a kind gesture by upgrading the room to junior suite. Haram is quite near to this hotel, especially the ladies gate. Supermarket Bindawood is at a few steps to buy anything.

It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had, as the prices were prohibitive for such a service. Bad rooms, size very cramped and not clean at all. Breakfast was bad too, it was the worst two nights I had in town. I also booked the room for a price and upon checking out the hotel they asked me double the price !!!!! Lack of credibility, lack of hygiene, very poor service.
your wifi should have password only and theres no need to log in log in.. your making the customers irritated

Though the place is good but you can not call it a five star hotel in any sense. Double bedroom is actually consist of two single beds joined together. So you can imagine how would it feel like to rest on it with a family. Apart from that, the management is cooperative and helpful. And very much close to gate 16 of Majid nabi saww. The breakfast is awesome consisting of different yogurts, fresh fruits, fresh juices, breads and buns, muffins, donuts, omelets, scrambled eggs, falafel, one main dish, rice, salads, different types of cheese slices and many more.

Highly recommend Hunafaa and the Rawaf packages, especially the 405 package. Alhamdulilah this packages made my Hajj so convenient, logistically making so much sense staying in a hotel close to the jamarat during the days of hajj allowing my group to head back to the hotel and freshen up before going the camps in Mina. Additionally staying at the Address hotel close to the Haraam was perfect, after completing the hajj. Being able to make every Salah at the Haraam Alhamdulilah. All in all the service I received was top quality and I would highly recommend recommend and in sha allah be able to book again with them in the future

Alhamdulillah, all praise is due to Allah for enabling us to perform Hajj in 2025. May He accept the Hajj of everyone who performed it. Ameen. I would definitely recommend Hunafa to anyone intending to perform Hajj. Ali Bhai and Saied Bhai have been amazing—from the very beginning of securing a package via Nusuk, to the very end of this incredible, once-in-a-lifetime journey. I’m truly happy and grateful for the excellent service provided by Hunafa, and I look forward to travelling with them again in the future, inshaAllah. Ameen.

I went to Hajj (2025) with Hunafaa. I booked the package with Rawaf Mina and I really enjoyed it. It was my first time going to Hajj and my experience was very pleasant. Hunafaa really took care of us and I felt that the Hajj experience was very smooth. The extra seminars and support from Hunafaa before and during Hajj was also very helpful in preparing us spiritually and easing us into the journey. I would highly recommend Hunafaa to anyone looking to perform Hajj.

I performed Hajj this year with Hunafaa and honestly, I cannot praise the team enough. From start to finish, the brothers carried themselves with professionalism, patience and genuine care for every single hujjaj. The level of organisation, clear communication and personal support provided at every stage really set Hunafaa apart. What stood out most for me was the calm and reassuring presence of the team during key moments of the journey, especially during the days of Hajj itself. No question felt too small, and no request was ever met without understanding and support. Choosing Hunafaa was one of the best decisions I made - not just for the logistics of Hajj, but for the spiritual and personal support throughout the process. May Allah reward the entire team for their efforts and place barakah in their work. I would highly recommend Hunafaa to anyone looking for a professional, trustworthy and spiritually grounded Hajj experience.

An Unforgettable Journey: My Hajj Experience with Hunafaa I recently had the incredible opportunity to perform Hajj, and I cannot express enough how transformative this experience was, especially with the help of Hunafaa. From start to finish, the journey was not just a pilgrimage; it was a profound spiritual awakening. Right from the moment we arrived, Hunafaa representative Ali Hussain guided us and was there to greet us with warmth and enthusiasm. The team’s deep knowledge of the rituals and history of Hajj made every step of the journey more meaningful. They provided us with insightful explanations about the significance of each ritual, which truly enhanced our understanding and appreciation of the experience. The logistics of Hajj can be overwhelming, but our guide Ali Hussain expertly navigated the crowds and ensured that we were always on schedule. This allowed us to focus on our prayers and reflections rather than worrying about the details. Their attention to our comfort and safety was evident, and I felt reassured knowing we were in such capable hands. One of the highlights was the group, which fostered a sense of community among us. We were encouraged to share our thoughts and feelings, creating a supportive environment that enriched our spiritual journey. The camaraderie we built with fellow pilgrims was a cherished aspect of the experience. The accommodations and transportation arranged by Hunafaa were very good, making our stay in Mecca and Medina comfortable and enjoyable. We were able to rest and recharge, which was essential given the physically demanding nature of Hajj. Overall, my Hajj experience was nothing short of miraculous, and I am incredibly grateful for the guidance and support of the Hunafaa team. They not only facilitated the logistics but also helped us connect with the spiritual essence of the pilgrimage. I highly recommend using Hunafaa for anyone considering Hajj; it truly made all the difference in my journey. This pilgrimage has left an indelible mark on my heart, and I look forward to carrying the lessons learned into my daily life.

I usually dont like to do reviews like this but sadly I have to as I believe its an amanah for future hujjaj. I went on Hajj with Hunafaa and their partners in 2025 and sadly it was a very disappointing experience. Group leads were mostly absent, leaving us to organise everything ourselves. Elderly people and first-timers were left without proper support. Communication was poor, responses were slow, and a helpful WhatsApp group was closed just before we arrived. Muzdalifah was a disaster — we arrived late, had no space, and were told to sleep dangerously close to a busy highway. The group got split up and left behind with no care shown by the leads. Elderly people were stranded and confused, while group leaders relaxed without concern. One group lead in particular (wont mention the name on here) was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. He didn’t seem fit for the role at all. There was no proper logistical info — we weren’t even told about free shuttle buses until days later. This felt like a first-time operation, not a company claiming years of experience. You can’t keep telling people “have sabr” after delivering poor service. Hajj is a once-in-a-lifetime journey — this company did not respect that. Would not recommend, especially for elderly pilgrims. I sincerely hope they improve. One positive I can say is the religious and spiritual aspect was very good. Sheikh Imran Patel was on point. Constructive Feedback for Future Hajj Trips: While this experience was deeply disappointing, I want to provide some sincere feedback to help improve the service for future hujjaj. I believe this is an amanah (trust) that you carry, and future pilgrims deserve better: 1. Hold a live seminar with all group leads present before departure. This allows everyone to meet and become familiar with who they can approach during the trip. 2. Create and maintain a dedicated WhatsApp group for all hujjaj to communicate, share updates, and ask questions throughout the entire trip. 3. Group leads should be present at the airport before the hujjaj arrive, clearly visible, wearing appropriate branded jackets or lanyards. After check-in, take time to introduce themselves to the group properly. 4. Learn and document local hotel and area amenities (e.g., shuttle bus services, walking directions to Haram, food places), and provide this to the hujjaj before arrival. 5. Hire group leads based on character and communication skills, not just availability. Only assign individuals who want to do the role and can handle it with compassion and professionalism. There should be a minimum of two group leads per hotel—not just one. 6. Dont advertise the trip to the elderly. Especially if English is not one of their languages. Based on what I experienced, this company is not equipped to support elderly pilgrims, and advertising otherwise is misleading. 7. Hire at least one female group lead. This is a must. Many sisters needed guidance and support and had no one to turn to.

The experience with Hunafa and their hajj partners was very disappointing. Apart from religious and spiritual talks/guidance, their wasn't much support and it felt like a lot of short comings were glossed over by way of the blame game I.e it's not them it's the service provider or the default answer being have "sabr". Unfortunately for the outlay - which for a couple can run into the tens of thousands you expect a minimum service level. It felt like a case of over promise under deliver as opposed to the other way round.

Booked my last minute Ummrah package last February with Hunafaa Travels, Shaykul, as ever done his best to accommodate my needs, Alhamdulillah! Only thing I will say is if you’re going with children then probably look for direct flights unless you’re happy to do transit flights. Hotels both in Madinah and Makkah were great, location was perfect.
