I stayed here for 6 days and 5 nights. It was nothing short of splendour. I am happy that I chose this hotel. Albeit 10 minutes walk to Al Haram, it was still a pleasant place. Shout out to Sierra Leone, the ever helpful luggage officer and Ms. Reefal (I hope I get her name right). The rooms are spacious and comfortable with good beddings and pillow. No complaints whatsoever.

I would like to extend my deepest thanks and appreciation to Al Shohada Hotel for their exceptional hospitality. From the moment of arrival until departure, every detail was handled with the utmost professionalism and care. The management and the entire team went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. The service was outstanding — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The staff’s professionalism and dedication reflect the high standards of the hotel, and it truly made a difference in my experience. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The housekeeping team kept it spotless every day, which added greatly to the comfort and peace of mind during my visit. I also had the pleasure of enjoying the hotel’s buffet, which offers a wide selection of international dishes with great taste and quality. Every meal was delightful and complemented perfectly by the attentive service. A special thanks to the cleaning service team for keeping everything in perfect condition, and to the reception staff for their warm welcome, efficiency, and continuous support throughout my stay. I am sincerely grateful for the kindness, respect, and excellence I experienced throughout my visit. Al Shohada Hotel is not only a place to rest but a place where guests are treated like family. The management deserves the highest praise for leading with vision, professionalism, and genuine care — qualities that set this hotel apart and make every guest feel truly valued.

Completely Unacceptable Service – Never Again! We traveled with our entire family and had clearly requested rooms next to each other when we made the booking. This request was confirmed by the hotel in advance. However, upon arrival, we were given rooms that were far apart, without any explanation or apology. When we addressed this issue at the reception, we were met by a receptionist named Fatima – and her behavior was absolutely outrageous. She was extremely rude, raised her voice, threw our room keys at us, and told us to leave. Such disrespectful, aggressive, and unprofessional conduct is completely unacceptable in any service environment, let alone a hotel. We then escalated the matter to the manager, who was just as unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of taking responsibility, he defended the receptionist’s behavior and offered no support whatsoever. After much pressure, we were finally given the rooms we had originally been promised. However, from that point on, the staff continued to treat us with hostility. When we called to request basic necessities like toilet paper or bottled water, we were told we “had no right” to ask for anything – simply because we had dared to complain. Our clear impression: This hotel only treats certain guests – especially Arab visitors – with respect. Guests from the EU or Asia are treated as second-class. My advice: Avoid this hotel at all costs. There are many other places where professionalism, fairness, and basic human decency are still valued.

Praise be to Allah who blessed us with the opportunity to perform Hajj. We stayed at Al Shohada Hotel in Makkah, and all praise is due to Allah — we were surrounded by comfort provided by all the staff, whether at reception, in the restaurant, or in room service. What truly made me happy, however, was seeing the hotel management present everywhere — from the reception hall to the restaurants — ensuring food quality and outstanding service, walking through the corridors to inspect cleanliness and how the rooms were being cleaned, and reviewing even the smallest details to guarantee the comfort of the guests. This was my first encounter with Mr. Mohamed Taha, who was personally checking the readiness of the rooms. When I asked one of the staff members about him, I was told he is the General Manager of the hotel — this increased my respect and admiration for the place I was staying in. For this reason, I wanted to thank all the hotel staff, and especially the management who trained their employees in the right way, so they treat the guests as if they were part of their own family. Thank you Mr. Mohamed Taha and Mr. Khaled Al Shanbari. I also won’t forget to thank the restaurant management — Mr. Nasser Abu Deeb, Mr. Ahmad Salama, Chef Mohsen, Chef Hatem, and Chef Adel. Wishing everyone continued success and progress always.

We stayed from 17-march till 20-march Check in and check out was fast and smooth 15-20 mins walk to kaaba Rooms are good, need more toilet papers in the bathroom ,they only put one roll. The hotel mosque doesn’t follow the haram prayers which made us sad a little. The Rooms doesn’t have the haram speakers ,only in the hallways After maghrib prayer they offer very good arabic coffee in the lobby and dates. Overall experience was very good.

Stayed there for one night and left because of rude attitude and decided to move to Elaf Kinda which was Alhamdulillah a best decision. Facilities, rooms, equipment etc. are good but front desk service staff as other people also responded they don't know how to welcome or deal with guests. Will not recommend due to rude attitude of staff specially Arabic lady and the Arab man at the front desk/reception.

A truly humbling experience being in the holiest land and this is the service I get. I am constantly in contact with housekeeping and reception. It has been 2 days and they haven’t made up the room/ changed the sheets/ emptied the bins. I thought I would spend extra since I’m coming with my parents to perform Umrah. Food is mid too.

Everytime you had to charge your device, you had to turn all the lights on. The elevator was so slow and made multiple stops even though none of the numbers were pressed. The only good thing about this place was the location as it is quite close to the mosque. The toilet doesn't flush properly and the view outside isn't great.

Very close proximity to the masjid, good location with shops nearby. Housekeeping staff are friendly and will make your room spotless, restaurant has a wide variety of good food and the "captain" of the restaurant Abdul Qadar went out of his way to ensure we were fully satisfied. An excellent hotel with great facilities and would highly recommend. Definately more than 5 stars.

Great location but poor customer service, room service, zero to non housekeeping service non existing. Don’t even know where to start from. Called the house keeping for broken Tv remote control never changed it. So the children never get use the TV. Order food from the room service that was my mistake. I should have never order from the room service. They mixed up order. Served me one item at a time. Please people order from outside or eat outside they serve you left over food from the night buffet, Bad and rotten food. Whomever managing this hotel have no clue on food and service. GM needs knowledge of food and service. Very bad experience. I am definitely not going back to this hotel. My next visit I will stay somewhere else.

A very disappointing experience, in terms of looks and feel the hotel is nice. The lobby always smells nice when entering and there are several lifts to get you to the required floor. The biggest disappointment has been the actual rooms, the electricity has been deliberately wired in a way to make it hard for people to sleep or charge their devices. This means in order to have power to the sockets and charge your devices, you will need to keep the rooms lights on, obviously this makes it so uncomfortable after a long day in the masjid, you just want to come back and relax with just one lamp on and devices on charge to communicate with your loved ones. We also had several issues with our bathroom, with clogged shower & sink drain, and toilet flushing issues. To top it off we had some water leak in the bathroom from the roof, this had me worried as I did not know if this water is clean or not, and could it get mixed electrical wiring and cause a fire. This is clearly not a 5 star hotel more like a 3/4 star. The hotel chain should be ashamed of making things difficult for the guests of Allah, instead of making things easier. Electrical charging points should be a standard feature in any hotel chain, never mind one that classes itself as 5 star. The beds are smaller than expected, especially when compared to the single beds we had at Pullman Zam Zam Makkah. The location is great as it is only 3-4 mins to get to the masjid and is ideal for ladies as it closer to their entry points by gate 339. Unfortunately I would NOT use this hotel again, purely because of the deliberate inconvenience it has caused with its intentional electrical wiring design.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was booked for 3 people and all three beds were comfortable. The location was great, you cross the road and the woman’s gate is right there which was super convenient. Plenty of shops around for food/shopping. Breakfast was okay, could be better in terms of variety but not that bad. The hotel is easily accessible for uber which made travelling further out convenient. The staff were lovely and helpful. I would recommend this hotel especially if you are travelling with a lot of women.

While my stay wasn’t bad, I was shocked to discover that the hotel used my name to post a detailed positive review on Booking.com—something I never wrote! (Screenshot of the review they wrote is attached here). This is completely unacceptable and has never happened to me before. It raises serious concerns about how they maintain such a high rating (9 on Booking.com) despite being a fairly average hotel. If this is how they operate, I cannot recommend them.

This place is inside the ring road. Attitude of reception and security is bad. The property insists on payment even if you have the option of free cancellation after so many days claiming they don't have the option of getting the payment using the credit card. They agree to provide you with free parking and turn a deaf ear once you reach. Housekeeping people are dedicated to their work. Walkability to the masjid and to the female praying area are a huge bonus. Asian food options outside the property are too bad.

Pros: Close to Alharam and the food was nice. Cons: " we can't do anything currently since we are at max. capacity so deal with that for couple of days" is the standard response of the reception staff for any problem.. The room was small and elevators are not efficient so if you are not a fan of using stairs then this place is not for you..

The rooms don't have charger outlets and for those which are having lamps, if you put your charger it will stop charging once you switch off the lights. Ongoing noises coming from the AC vents, room door malfunction noise, water pipe bubbling from the toilet, it's like you are sleeping in a haunted hotel, once you go out of the room it looks good. The buffet was good, but not authentic cuisine, they had hummus which was not atlal authentic, seemed like you are eating something else . Like who goes wrong with the humus when the chef is arab . Overall food was good .

It was okay. The room was somewhat clean. The bathroom and room had an odor. Bathroom hygiene would be 5/10. Had to open the window for fresh air. The only good thing about it, it is close by the haram for woman and food places are close by too. Some shops around the area. Has a good view. The service is good when checking in.

This hotel doesn’t deserve a single star. Very old furniture and beds squeaking every time someone moves. Bad smell in the bathroom and room wasn’t clean when we got there. Rather than changing the room the kept us 1 hour waiting. The only good thing is the location to Haram but better avoid it as there are plenty of other hotels in the area. Don’t be tempted by the pictures and the price. Not worth it at all.

I don’t know how it’s called a 5 star hotel with a 3 star room and facilities. Breakfast was worst, milk was so dilute. They cleaned the rooms on time but that was only the good part. The washroom clogged with water and didn’t go for so long. Sheets had stains. Would never ever go here.

We have an extensive experience in Umrah and Ziyarah tours since 2006. Since that time Alhamdulillah we have been providing our services for tours regularly.
Our aim is to provide the best service for Umrah and Ziyarah with the reasonable pricing which suits even people with the average budgets. We will be honest and fair in our pricing and we don’t believe in swindling the customers with the name Umrah and Hajj. As we hear often about Hajj frauds and it was in high lights sometimes ago. And in the consequence British government stepped in and formed some groups, organisations to tackle the issue.
